Pear And Turkey Open-Faced Grilled Cheese

If you've been following my Instagram, there's a good chance you know that I love a good open-faced sandwich. I've made a ton of combinations, and I'm so glad I thought to pear this up (get it??). Pears + turkey + melted cheese just go so well together, and I promise you'll enjoy this.

Pear And Turkey Open-Faced Grilled Cheese

Servings: 1

Ingredients: 

  • 2 slices Ezekiel Sprouted Whole Grain Bread (4 SmartPoints)
  • 4 oz Boar's Head Cajun Turkey (1 SmartPoint)
  • 2 oz Trader Joe's Shredded Lite Mozzarella Cheese (2 SmartPoints)
  • 1 small pear
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

Directions:

  1. Add 1/2 oz of cheese to each slice of bread and lightly toast (toaster oven or oven)
  2. Take out and add the turkey, sliced pears, and remaining mozzarella cheese to both slices
  3. Pop back in the toaster oven (or oven) until cheese is melted (or broiled) 
  4. Sprinkle with hot sauce or honey (optional)

Pro-tip: You can also use an apple or figs if you don't like pears!
